You will find a list of sites that sell baseball tickets near the top of

because certain brokers may have better prices for certain teams.
For example, a ticket broker in Chicago will probably have better prices
for Cubs tickets compared to brokers not located in Chicago.
However, this is not always the case, which is why we compare prices
between the different sites.
Good luck in your search for tickets and hopefully we can help you find
a reliable broker that will provide you with good service and great
prices so you can get out and enjoy the game!
Please note -
The Ticket Broker sites we list sell tickets higher than face value. |

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Information
|
 |
The Angels became an
expansion team in 1961, but were then known as the Los Angeles Angels. In
1965 they changed their name to the California Angels in an effort to
appeal to the entire state. Then in 1997 they moved to Anaheim. |
 |
The home of the Angels
was originally named Anaheim Stadium, but after $24 million worth of
renovations in 1998, it was renamed Edison International Field. In 2003,
the stadium was renamed again to its present name of Angel Stadium of
Anaheim. |
 |
The Angels have hosted
Major League Baseballs All Star Game twice, doing so in 1967 and again in
1989. |
 |
Anaheim has won their
Division three times, earning the title in 1979, 1982 and 1986. The team
earned a spot in the 2002 playoffs as a Wild Card team, and went on to win
the 2002 World Series. That is the only World Series that the Angels have
been to in their franchises history. |
 |
8 Hall of Famers have played for the Angels, including: Rod Carew,
Reggie Jackson, Frank Robinson, Nolan Ryan, Hoyt Wilhelm, and Dave
Winfield. |
 |
4 different pitchers have pitched No-Hitters in Angels history. Bo Belinsky, Clyde Wright, and Mike Witt each have pitched one, with Nolan Ryan pitching 4. Witt's No-Hitter in 1984 was also the only Perfect Game in Angels history. In 1990, Witt combined with Mark Langston to pitch a No-Hitter.

Starting the 2002 season with a new bright red color scheme, the Angels hoped to finally reach the peak of the baseball world. After a franchise best record of 99-63, the Angels would capture the American League Wild Card spot and face the New York Yankees in the first round of the playoffs. After defeating the Yankees in 4 games, the Angels faced the Minnesota Twins, and would take that series in 5 games, earning there way to the World Series. In the Fall Classic, the Angels faced the Barry Bonds led San Francisco Giants. After a long 7 game series, the Angels came out victorious, winning their first World Series Championship.
The Angels wanted to continue their past successes in the 2003 season, but would struggle doing so. Injuries plagued the Angels through much of the season as the team struggled to remain above .500 for the season. The team would make history though as the Disney Corporation sold the team to Arte Moreno for $184 million. Moreno would be the first Hispanic owner of a professional sports franchise. Finishing the season 77-85, the Angels would acquire Bartolo Colon and Vladimir Guerrero.
Injuries would again plague the team during the 2004 season, but Guerrero would have a stellar season (337 average, 39 home runs, 126 RBIs, 124 runs, 206 hits and 39 doubles) leading the Angels into the playoffs after amassing a record of 92-70. The Angels would run into the Boston Red Sox in the first round of the playoffs, but would fall to the eventual World Champions. The Angels have worked hard during the off-season to find the missing ingredient that will get the back to the World Series.

With a record
of 43 and 39, They remain 3 1/2 games behind first-place Texas and
2 1/2 behind the A's. Even though they have no players on the AL
All-Star team, three players did show All-Star performance July 7,
2004 against the Chicago White Sox. There performance was highly
looked upon as they beat the White Sox 10-0 in front of 21,378
fans in US Cellular Field. Here Jarrod Washburn tossed his first
career shutout, Jose Guillen hit two homeruns and had five RBI's,
and Garret Anderson hit the 200th homerun of his career. This win
gave Angel fans hope and confidence that the second part of the
season will be much better than the first.
Vladimir Guerrero is going to start as an outfield for his first
All-Star Game appearance as a representative for the AL. He leads
the Angels in almost every category as he in the upper half of the
Angels in batting average, homeruns, RBI's, runs, hits, doubles,
and slugging and on-base percentage, along with outfield assists.
Unluckily, Bobby Jenks, a right-handed pitcher that has been known
to throw 100-mph has had some pain in his elbow. The Angels
orthopedist examined him and said that it was just pain caused by
stress, there is no fracture, but he needs to be cautious.
The home of the Anaheim Angels was under construction in 1996. It
was completed for the Angels opening day on April 1st, 1998. The
construction changed the 30-year-old structure back to a baseball
only facility and was named the Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The
entire cost of the renovation was $100 million dollars. Features
of the Angel Stadium of Anaheim include terraces bullpens in the
outfield, new restrooms and concessions areas, more contemporary
press box and broadcast booths, family-oriented seating section
(The Nestle Family Zone), one of a kind club-level and
dugout-level suites, a youth-oriented interactive game area (Pepsi
Perfect Game Pavilion), and landscaped courtyards. |
