About Us |
Our goal is to help you find the best place to purchase tickets online.
We search the web looking for websites selling MLB tickets. We
want to help you find sites that are:
-
Reliable
-
Provide great
service
-
Offer the best
prices
You will find a list of sites that sell baseball tickets near the top of
this page. We list different ticket brokers for different teams,
because certain brokers may have better prices for certain teams.
For example, a ticket broker in Chicago will probably have better prices
for Cubs tickets compared to brokers not located in Chicago.
However, this is not always the case, which is why we compare prices
between the different sites.
Good luck in your search for tickets and hopefully we can help you find
a reliable broker that will provide you with good service and great
prices so you can get out and enjoy the game!
Please note -
The Ticket Broker sites we list sell tickets higher than face value. |

Orioles Information |

The Orioles have
played before fans in Baltimore, MD since the St. Louis Browns became the
Baltimore Orioles and played their first game on April 13, 1954. |
 |
Oriole Park was built in the area of Baltimore known as Camden Yards and became the home of the Orioles on opening day, April 6, 1992.
• Since 1953 the Orioles have supplied 9 Hall of Famers to Cooperstown including Robin Roberts, Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, George Kell, Luis Aparicio,
Hoyt Wilhelm, Jim Palmer, Reggie Jackson, and Eddie Murray. |
 |
The Orioles have had 9 playoff appearances since their move to Baltimore including 8 division championships and appearing once as the wild card team. All 9 appearances have resulted in an LCS
appearance. Of these 9 appearances the O’s won 6 and won the World Series
three times; in 1966, 1970, and 1983. |

Baltimore has hosted the All-Star game twice, in 1958 and 1993.

After becoming the Orioles in 1954, the team struggled on the field posting a 54-100 record and finishing in 7th place. It would be 1957 before the O’s would have a .500 season and not until 1961 would they achieve 90 wins in a season. That same season Jim Gentile had a great season setting 11 team records and finishing 3rd in the All-Star voting behind the Yankees’ Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle.
In 1966 the Orioles acquired Frank Robinson in a trade to the Cincinnati Reds for Milt Pappas and two other players. Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, and Boog Powell all hit over 100 RBI’s leading their team to their first AL Championship. The Orioles were able to shut out the tough pitching Dodgers in the last three games of the World Series to complete the sweep and earn their first World Championship.
In 1981 Cal Ripken Jr., possibly the most famous Orioles player of all time, made his debut. The season was cut short due to a 50-day strike, but on opening day of 1982 Cal gave a glimpse of the good things to come as he went 3-5 with a homer and was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award. In 1983 Ripken won the AL MVP award and helped lead the O’s to their 3rd World Championship. On September 6, 1995 Ripken Jr. passes Lou Gehrig for the record of most consecutive games played of 2,130. His streak ended on September 20, 1998 after 2,632 as he decides to sit out the final Sunday home game of the season. Cal Ripken Jr. retired from baseball after the 2001 season as the league honors him with a new award named after him for players who do not miss a game.

With a record of 36 and 55 as
of July 7, 2004, Orioles are missing the support of their supreme
hitter, Rafael Palmeiro. Palmeiro entered 2004 with a .284 average
against left-handers. Palmeiro has lost his confidence and is now
strictly hitting ground or fly balls as he cannot connect with the
core of the ball. He is now hitting .159 against lefties, and he only
has 10 RBI’s. He of course is frustrated with is performance and is
bothered by the question if he is still a key player to the team. He
has stated, “I can't figure out what's going on right now. I am sure a
lot of it is mental."
Javy Lopez has request more days off and more playing time at the DH
only. The orioles have claimed catcher Ken Juckaby from Texas. He is
best known for hurting Derek Jeter’s shoulder back in 2001 when he
dove into him. Melvin Mora may have lost his spot on the All-Star team
because of a right hamstring injury. He now is going to take the
All-star break off, and hopefully get his hamstring back up to full
strength. Despite missing several games of late, Mora is still second
in the American League with a .347 average and third with 69 runs and
a .433 on-base percentage.
Minor Leaguer Dave Borkowski had a chance to come up to the major
leagues and he did his job well. Against Tampa Bay he pitched a
shutout into the ninth, until the innings wore on him and he pitched
back to back homeruns. Lee Mazilli then removed him, and has stated,
“"What a great game the kid pitched. We were all pulling for him. He
just got his pitch count up in the ninth inning. He was a little
tired." After this performance he will more than likely be added to
the rotation after All-Star break. "I can't send the kid back (to the
minors) after what he did tonight (7-5-04)," Mazzilli said. |
